Built for rural access

Visibility where ordinary cameras struggle.

Long drives, remote gates and patchy infrastructure make rural monitoring difficult. PlateAlert is purpose-built for those awkward places where power and Wi-Fi are unavailable.

Farms and lifestyle blocks

See vehicles arriving at your gate, driveway, sheds or other important access points.

Rural businesses

Keep a simple visual record of deliveries, contractors and vehicles entering remote work sites.

Shared accessways

Authorised viewers can share awareness across private roads, communities or common entrances.

How it works

Simple at the gate. Useful on your phone.

PlateAlert focuses on one job: giving you timely awareness of vehicles at a rural access point.

  • Designed to operate independently of your home internet.
  • Provisioned before delivery and supported from New Zealand.
  • Snapshots stored securely for a limited period.

Install at the access point

Mount the camera and solar panel where approaching vehicles can be captured safely and lawfully.

A vehicle triggers the camera

The camera records a still image and sends it through its managed mobile connection.

Review the alert

Authorised users receive a notification and can view the snapshot in the PlateAlert app.

What PlateAlert is

A practical layer of awareness.

PlateAlert helps you see vehicle movements at a chosen access point. It can complement good gates, locks, lighting and sensible rural-security practices.

  • Focused vehicle snapshots rather than continuous video streaming.
  • Flexible placement where conventional systems are impractical.
  • Viewer access for trusted family, staff or community members.

Clear expectations

Monitoring aid, not a guarantee.

Performance depends on camera placement, weather, traffic speed, mobile coverage and other conditions. PlateAlert is not a monitored alarm or emergency-response service, and no camera can capture every vehicle or guarantee a readable plate.

Customers are responsible for lawful placement, suitable signage and appropriate use of images. Our privacy policy and terms explain this in more detail.
